Day 3 – More Mining

I awoke to find a piece of mail informing me I’d received a reward (100 pence) for my good representation of the realm to outsiders. After re-reading it to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, I readied myself for the day and left for the Ayrian iron mines to work.

On the way, I stopped at the market to purchase some now-available bread. Even though I have enough corn for a few days, I was taught how I could stretch my food by eating a single portion of corn every-other-day (alternating it with bread). I was told that while this diet will technically sustain me, it will leave me even more drained at the end of each day than I currently am. Long term, I hope to eat better (and more often), but one does what one must to survive.

After the market, I poked into the Town Hall to see if I qualify for any job postings, but alas, no. So, off to the mines I go. Today, I returned to the iron mines – the site of the accident, from which I’m almost completely recovered. I thought it would take time to get used to working there again, but REALLY hard labor has a way of commanding all of one’s attention. The other workers still insisted on making sport of me, but soon, I was too tired and too hungry to care. This penny-pinching diet I’m on is going to take some getting used to.

After an especially weary day of work, I returned to Ayr. Passing by the Town Hall, I found I’d received another post – this time from a stranger. Apparently, my old friend Kondo has convinced a girl named Sayhey to write me a letter of Trust & support. This unlookedfor confidence boost should prove to be a boon to me as I look to advance my status in society.

Too tired and hungry to frequent one of the local taverns, I decided to turn in early and rest up for what will undoubtedly be a hard upcoming week.

Hello, My name is Ariani. I wanted to welcome you to our fair city. Please join us in the taverns and forums. You can improve your mood by drinking in the tavern with friends. There are very helpful friendly people in the taverns who are always ready to answer your questions. In the forums is where a large portion of the game happens. It is also where you can find alot of information. For basic information about the game i suggest The Hitch Hikers guide to the Kindom. I do believe you need to be logged in for that one. So welcome to Ayr and we hope to see you soon. Ari(Town Council)
