Today, I worked my first non-mining, non-farming job. Beckiboo11 hired me to slaughter some of her pig stock. The work was messy, to say the least. I won’t go into more detail, but it was pretty much everything I expected it to be. I was grateful for the work, but I’m kinda glad to be a veggie farmer.
Speaking of which; the other day, I joined the national vegetable guild: The Tasty Taters. Today, three other members sent me vouchers of trust. It’s nice knowing I have friends across the country.
The day ended on a bit of a sour note. After work, I swung by the Cock & Bull to chat with folks. Litherstorm, Allorardagon, Kidcool, Drake_roanoake, Wandress, and Weinerschnitzel were there. Weiner was being his usuall obnoioux self. Then, after being chatized by Wandress and Allora, he left. Usually, his departure frees up the tavern to resume more “palatible” conversation. But soon after he left, a stranger appeared, going by the name, JimmieJohnson. After some prodding from Allora, this new individual admitted to being possesed by Weinerschnitzel.
Witchcraft! I screamed. Several in the tavern fled at once. Allora and Wandress tried to confront the gastly spectre and bring him to repentence; but to no avail. After a few tense minutes, the creature left. Soonafter, another new stranger, calling himself Stevesix, appeared. This time Drake was ready. he launched into a heated argument with the specter. Seeing that Drake had things in hand, and that the figure posed no immediate threat, I bolted.
Still wanting human company, I decided to patronize the Bakery, the Ayr town’s official tavern. Kidcool had retreted there as well. he was reading county news, so I didn’t distrub him. Instead, I composed a letter to Scottish officals alerting them of the witchcraft being practiced in Ayr and asking for an inquistion. We’ll see if anything results.
Not long after, Allora dropped in.
